Max, an ambitious young director, questions her place in the world while shooting a low-budget short. Abandoning her crew, she's confronted by her producer and friend, Lenny - and resorts to seeking guidance from her father. Returning to set, it's her turn to uplift her lead actress, Daisy, whose also lost her footing-opening up to share a moment from her childhood.
